Returns & Shipping
At this time we only ship via USPS within the continental US. All retail orders (does not include custom items) will be processed within 73 hours from the original date and time of order. A shipment confirmation will be emailed once your order is shipped. We do not ship on Saturday’s, Sunday’s or holidays.
Shipping is XYZ on all orders in the continental US.
Due to the nature of personalization, all custom decorated items are considered final sale and not eligible for return/refund. No returns or unauthorized returns will be accepted on custom items.
EXCEPTIONS / NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
**Blank items ordered as samples to try on will be subject to a 25% restocking fee, no exceptions.**
Custom products cannot be returned. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
WE DO NOT DO EXCHANGES BECAUSE WE CAN'T GUARANTEE THE SIZE YOU NEED WILL BE IN STOCK BY THE TIME WE GET YOUR RETURN BACK. OUR STOCK MOVES VERY QUICKLY. IF YOU NEED A DIFFERENT SIZE OR A DIFFERENT ITEM, PLEASE PLACE A NEW ORDER.
If you receive a defective/damaged item you must notify us by email within 3 days of the delivery confirmation date, otherwise it is considered wear and tear. NO EXCEPTIONS.

PROCESSING YOUR RETURN
To be eligible for a return due to defect/damage, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. Returns are for store credit only. Items must be in their original condition. They must not be altered in any way, this includes but is not limited to the following: makeup stains, cigarette smoke, animal stains/hair/scent, perfume or if items have been worn, washed, tags removed, or we do not receive it back at Downtown Threads before the 10 day allowance from which your order was purchased, your return will be rejected. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return for a defective/damaged item, you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Once we receive returns, they will be processed within 3-6 business days. You will then be given a store credit of the amount of the item minus the shipping charges. We are not responsible for any shipping costs, the customer is responsible for all shipping costs. This credit will be placed on the customer account that was created at checkout. If the customer checks out as a guest they will need to create a customer account in order to redeem a store credit. **Please note that all store credits will expire after a year.**
Downtown Threads is not responsible for any lost or stolen packages. Once your order leaves our store, we are not responsible for its whereabouts. If you are a domestic customer and your package is lost or stolen, you must contact us and we will contact our shipping carrier and start an investigation. This can take up to 8 business days. If the shipping carrier is at fault, a claim will be filed. After the claim is filed by the shipping carrier, it can take 2-3 weeks for the claim to be received by us and for you to be compensated for your lost or stolen package.
Please make sure you are providing us with a VALID address to have your package delivered. Buyer is responsible for all shipping fees if we have to reship your package back out to you with a correct address. If you feel you have submitted an invalid address at checkout, please contact us immediately.
